Lamb, Jr., Chair of the Riverlife board of directors, announced today that <strong>Jay Sukernek<\/strong> has been appointed by the board to serve as Acting Director, effective immediately, until a permanent\u00a0President and Chief Executive<b> Officer<\/b>\u00a0is selected. Sukernek is currently Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Riverlife and has been with the organization since March 2010. Former President Elisabeth M. Schroeder <a href=\"\/riverlife_announces_departure_of_president_and_ceo_schroeder\/\">departed Riverlife this month<\/a> to assume a new position at the Parks &amp; People Foundation in Baltimore.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: sans-serif;\">A management oversight committee has been established by Riverlife&#8217;s board to work with the staff during this interim period. According to Lamb, a<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: sans-serif;\">\u00a0search committee has been formed and conducted its first meeting last week.
