That wasn&#8217;t the only big news, however. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bizjournals.com\/pittsburgh\/news\/2017\/10\/25\/cmu-finalizes-deal-to-lease-space-at-hazelwood.html\"><strong>Carnegie Mellon University<\/strong> announced<\/a> that it will be a major tenant at Hazelwood Green&#8217;s <strong>Mill 19<\/strong> building, which will house two university robotics and manufacturing initiatives. The redevelopment of Mill 19, one of three structures on Hazelwood Green left over from the former Jones &amp; Laughlin steel mill, is a project overseen by the <strong>Regional Development Industrial Corporation<\/strong> and is expected to be completed by spring of 2019.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>STRIP DISTRICT<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Pittsburgh&#8217;s Strip District neighborhood continues to boom with new development adjacent to the Allegheny River. A September groundbreaking ceremony confirmed that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/business\/tech-news\/2017\/09\/19\/Argo-AI-self-driving-autonomous-cars-uber-pittsburgh-byran-salesky\/stories\/201709190102\">autonomous vehicle developer<strong>\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Argo<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><span class=\"il\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/business\/tech-news\/2017\/09\/19\/Argo-AI-self-driving-autonomous-cars-uber-pittsburgh-byran-salesky\/stories\/201709190102\">AI<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>will move into the future Riverfront West building at<strong> Oxford Development Company&#8217;s 3 Crossings<\/strong> complex. 3 Crossings sits between 25th and 29th streets bordered by Smallman and Railroad streets.<\/p>\n<p>Several blocks downriver at 21st and Smallman streets, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/business\/development\/2017\/10\/26\/Settling-into-the-Strip\/stories\/201710260077\"><strong>Rugby Realty<\/strong> and <strong>Al. Neyer<\/strong> announced plans<\/a> for a new mixed use building at the former Tom Ayoob Inc. produce wholesaler. The 420,000-square-foot project would span three blocks and could include a mix of office space, retail (including a possible corner restaurant and pharmacy) and a parking garage.<\/p>\n<p>And further downriver at 15th and Smallman streets, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.post-gazette.com\/business\/development\/2017\/10\/18\/Construction-of-22-million-four-floor-building-planned-in-the-Strip\/stories\/201710180063\">Bridgeville-based developer <strong>RDC Inc.<\/strong> has plans<\/a> to build a $22 million, 105,000-square-foot office building on property owned by <strong>The Buncher Company.<\/strong> Named <strong>District 15<\/strong>, the new building is part of Buncher&#8217;s 37-acre Riverfront Landing development and is expected to begin construction later this year. As a result of discussions with Riverlife&#8217;s Design Review Committee, the District 15 building will enhance the 15th Street connection to the riverfront, which includes a brick plaza that has already been built by The Buncher Company.
